Jimbaran was formerly a fishermen village.

The best feature of the Keraton is its beautiful beachfront location, pure white sand, palm trees, and calm blue sea. The beach provided access to not only the ocean but also to two different clusters of local fish warungs (cafés). You can watch the fishermen launch their boats prior to each sunset as they ventured out to catch fresh seafood for consumption tomorrow.

Just a short walk down the beach are a collection of sea front restaurants, where you can sit and watch the sunset by candlelight, eating fresh fish caught that day. Incredible!!

There is no surf as a distant reef protects the beach and you can go out many metres; this makes for a pleasant and relaxing beach experience and would also give relatively safe beach access for little ones.
Sit on the beach in a deck chair and see the fishing boats silhouetted against the setting.
